Switchboard Fault

A contractor put a fishtape into the top of a live switchboard and it laid across the buss bars causing a fault. The flash that was created was from the end of the fish tape across the lugs of the switch. It lasted a few seconds. The damage was to the switch and lugs and the fuses blew, the corners of the bus bars melted. They replaced the switch and cleaned the carbon residue from the top of the cabinet. They could not clean the conductors so they installed cold shrink over them to cover the discoloration. I need to let them know what tests need to be done to ensure the switchboard and conductors are working properly. I spoke to the switchboard Manufacturer (Siemens), they said to do the start-up tests listed in the owner?s manual. Can someone help with this?
