Standby Generator Sizing question

Trying to size generators for equipment that is not typical in generator sizing programs:

1. Inverter type heat pumps (my understanding) start up unloaded. So when sizing a generator, can the start up power be close to the run power? (as opposed to normal compressor)

2. Traction Elevator – Otis has provided information on the elevator – Current Rating 52A, Accelerating Current 65A (this is for 240V 1Ph) So can we use that accelerating rating for start up?

Inrush current on the heat pumps will be low. The more data you have from the manufacturer the better.
Pretty sure that elevator controller will be a soft starter.
The manufacturer's program that I use would let you list these loads as motors with soft starters. It lets you enter the limitation on starting current. Because motor starting power factor tends to be low, most generators can handle 300% of FLA without grunting.
