Greetings,
I've got a scenario where I'm installing a feeder breaker upstream of a panel for a 3 phase, 4 wire system. Is it typical to route the neutral wire through the enclosure?
The breaker is a 3 pole breaker and I just want to make sure there is enough room inside the enclosure for the neutral wire.

Thoughts?
Thanks,
EE

The neutral should be fed through the enclosure, unless the line and load conductors share the same conduit or nipple.

Also, my answer presumes this is not the service disconnect.

If the neutral doesn’t go thru the enclosure, how will it get to the load?
you can get the breaker enclosure with the 4 wire option.
