Sizing for the an elevator motor. What is accelerating current?

I got an elevator shop drawing today with motor details and it said 50A FLA, and 125A Accelerating current. Is that the startup current? and does the cable need to be able to support the 125A current?

I current have 100A circuit breakers with a #2 copper (so it can support up to 115A). Should i change it to 125A with a #1 copper?

The accelerating current must be for the time it takes to get the car moving, which, for an elevator, is likely longer than most other motor usages.

If it's not in the NEC, I would ask the elevator people for guidance.

Yes, I'm going to try to get a word from them. But I have noticed that sometimes they are vague in their responses... Either the responsible person is not sure or they don't want to take responsibility, ha!
