Shower Cans

Does the shower can have to be rated for wet or damp locations, or can you use a regular new construction can as long as the trim is rated for wet locations?

All the cans I get are the same. It’s the trim that’s wet location rated.

I agree the trim must be rated wet location. The cans , I believe, are rated damp location so there isn't an issue
