Hi! I am planning to add a small refrigerator in the laundry room adjacent to the kitchen.
The problem is that the power options in that room seem a little limited.
There's a 30A 240/120V receptacle for the electric clothes dryer.
There's a 20A 120V receptacle which the washing machine (with 15A plug) is connected to.
I assume that the 120V portion of the 30A is no-go as dryers require dedicated circuits.
Is it possible to add a second socket (15A) to the washing machine circuit to run the refrigerator?
I appreciate that this is probably GFCI so there's a risk of food spoiling if it where to trip due to some problem - but it has an alarm if power is interrupted.
If i can't do this then i assume that my only option would be to run a new circuit off the panel which, as we know, turns a simple weekend remodel into a 3 week extravaganza.
Many thanks!
