PVC Straps on Rigid Metallic Conduit

Hello all,

I am looking at an installation where the previous contractor used PVC straps on Rigid Metallic Conduit. Is this acceptable and is it OK if I do the same? Thoughts?

I don't think there is anything that says you can't except for common sense.

Metal one-hole straps on PVC is much more common. I think strength would be the major concern.

Yes I would be concerned with a PVC strap on RMC larger than 3/4". Maybe it was what was on the truck.

PVC straps get really brittle very easy.

I use two-hole metal on my PVC. While likely not prohibited, I wouldn't even think of using PVC straps on rigid.
