Plastic Plumbing-Grounding

A lot of the new homes we are wiring are using plastic plumbing pipe but the system still uses copper to stub out of the walls to connect to sinks, toilets, hot water heaters, hose bibs etc....Does the incoming cold water pipe still need to be grounded? and what about all of the copper stub outs?.......

No, the incoming water pipe does not need to be grounded. However, you are required to use it as a grounding electrode by running a grounding electrode conductor to it within 5' of where it enters the building. :D
