I have a customer that has an RV park and is concerned that a kid can open the front cover of a RV pedestal and stick a knife or something metal into the 50 amp or 30 amp receptacle and get shocked.

He would like to minimize his liability and place a sign on every pedestal to warn people of the danger.

Any thoughts on what it should say? Danger? Caution? and in how many languages?

what makes him think that a sign will have any impact on his potential liability?

you cannot reduce your liability by telling people not to engage in hazardous activities. how will a sign prevent a 2 YO from sticking a piece of metal in an outlet?

this is something best discussed with the insurer.

you might want to talk with your insurer as well. how much liability are you incurring by supplying a safety feature that does not work?
