A suggestion for panel schedules, I use an excel spread sheet to make my panel schedules and put them in the plastic directory holder on the inside of the door. The tip is to have 2 schedules, so if you make a change mark them both up, take one back and update it for later.
This works best for facility maintenance, where I used work I had 40 sites, so I would make updates and then get the update to the site on the next trip. The panel schedules were on a file server, so it was nice to look up and see what type of breakers, spares, ect. You can purchase plastic self stick directory holders from
Siemens for about $1.00, part number 11 pnl sm.jpg

I’ve wondered the same thing. I tried a label maker but it doesn’t look as nice
