Cant locate the code section that gives the minimum clearance a panel must be when mounted on a backboard.

sorry bob I was not clear enuf in my post I meant the airspace requirement between the panel and the backboard.

I can't think of ever seeing that in the code, Stew. That doesn't mean its not there though. The only requirement I can think of is the 1/4" fir wet locations, in the aforementioned section.

never mind, I thought you might be thinking about a NEMA recommedation but I can't find that either...
