Hi Guys,

From collateral damage perspective, it seems like liquid filled transformers would potentially exert more damage to surrounding environment during an internal fault. NEC requires overcurrent protection regardless of the transformer type, have there been any white papers published documenting consequences of an internal fault of dry type versus oil filled units?

It seems like it would be prudent to provide more stringent overcurrent protection for oil filled units(combustible)..

Thoughts?
Thanks,
EE
