NEC track light power feed question

Hey y'all. Never installed track lights (most everything else) and want to make sure I pass inspection first time around. Following my question is a link to the small "live end connector" that I would like to use, to avoid using the much larger, j-box mounted feed. It has a knock-out on the back (ceiling) side that will accept a romex connector and NM cable, acting as its own j-box. It is UL approved.

Is it NEC acceptable to simply run a cable into this through my drywall, whereby it would be only be secured by my track which would be screwed to the ceiling joists. Or do I have to use the style that secures a feed to a "fixture rated box" mounted to my framework for code? (which seems like a gigantic overkill)
