Mixing Neutral and Ground in the main panel

I'm glad I found this post because as it happens in working a job at a commercial building and the 120/208 panel is pretty hokey. The feed is correctly landed as far as the phases and neutral go but then on the neutral bar they landed the grounding on it as well. Then on the what should have been the ground bar someone bonded the transformer to it and I see grounded as well as grounding conductors landed on both sides mixed together. Is there a risk with this?

iirc, Don G may have already done so Tom ~RJ~
I really doubt that CMP 5 would be receptive to use the term earthing in the NEC as there have been numerous rejected proposals. I would not be in support of such an change.

As far as proposals for the 2023 code, way too late. The PIs for the 2026 code will be due in early September of 2023.
