Doesn't a "molded case switch" need overcurrent protection ahead of it per UL 489?
Think about a "normal" main panel. The molded case breaker has no overcurrent protection prior to coming in from the meter.
The "switch" does need to meet UL 98, UL 489 is specific to branch circuit breakers but a 489 device can be used as a main breaker/ disconnect. Also UL 489 has no criteria for overcurrent protection ahead of it, that is related to UL 1077 for supplemental protectors
