Where does it state in the code that all Kitchen Receptacles must be gfi protected.
I have an inspector that said I could find it in 210.? I have a far wall in a kitchen that is over 10' from the sink and he is requesting that everything be Protected? I did it but would like
to have the code he is referring too.
Thanks
Mike

210.8, note only commercial kitchens (other than dwellings 210.8(B)) require all receptacles to be GFCI.

Re: Kitchen GFI's

2002 code requires all receptacles (120V 15 or 20A) in COMMERCIAL kitchens to be GFI.

210.8(B)(3) for other than dwelling units.

210.8(A)(6) for countertop outlets in a dwelling kitchen.
