J box working space

if i have a j box with 120v or 277 ..whats the working space ? Any code reference??

Asking because sometimes there is a wall, ac duct or Something else infront of the boxes.. thanks

I don't think the 36" rule from 110.26 applies to J-boxes. I will re-read it later tonight.

You need enough room to work in the box. The NEC does not require any specific working space.
