Isolated grounding

Hi all,

Please take a look and offer comments for this situation:

Task: Tenant renovation design. Systems furniture is electrified and comes with designated isolated ground receptacles and wiring.

Building services: Panelboard does not have additional insulated ground bus-just an equipment ground bus.

Is it permissable to land the isolated ground conductor to the equipment ground bus?

Any code violations?

It is permissible. The equipment grounding conductor, set up as an IG or not, is required to be terminated. Where this is done is simply a design choice. Typically an IG system would terminate the IG at the transformer XO or at the neutral bus in the service. However there is no requirement to do this. It can be simply attached to the equipment grounding bus in the panelboard where the branch circuits originate.
