Inverter to AC disconnect Wiring

I had a situation at a customer's house.
My electrician pulled wires from an inverter to the exterior AC disconnect. and Neutral and Red were about 2 inches.

Is it ok to use a polaris plug to extend the wires? or do you have to use an irreversible connector in order to extend the short wires?

Polaris is fine. Any listed connector that covers that size of wire is fine.

The only place the code requires irreversible connectors is grounding electrode conductors, i.e. the ground wire going to a ground rod, ufer, or other electrode in the ground.
