NFPA 99 Chapter 7 which deals with communications and specifically Nurse Call in Healthcare facilities, directs the reader to the FGI Guidellines and IEEE 602 (one of the color coded books that adorns all engineering companies book shelves at least those who have been around for a while.
I'm very familiar with the FGI but what of IEEE 602. The latest version of this is from 2007. Is it still relevant? And why do I never hear of the IEEE books these days. Have I been grotesquely remiss in ignorning them or are they a source from which the Interantional Codes and NEC, etc draw from; themselves not written as codes to be adopted?
