Yes I have installed a lot of these made by Hubbell.

Recently I saw that Leviton has made one also.

Both Hubbell and Leviton call them tamper resistant not tamper proof.

Easer to defend in court I imagine.

Edit: Sorry I did not see the GFCI part.

I tried to find both IG and GFCI tamper resistant outlets before and did not have any luck.

We considered using faceless GFCIs in two gang boxes with the tamper resistant outlets.

I-wire, are not the faceless GFI,s for equipment protection, not for personel protection. 30 ma trip verses 4 - 6 ma?

You may be able to get them at that 30 ma trip level but Hubbell makes a Faceless GFCI with 4-6 ma trip level and imagine others make one also. :)

Rather than reinventing the wheel why not use a GFCI breaker in the panel and a standard tamper resistant recpticle in whatever location you need it? Cost will probablt end up less.

Re: Hospital grade "Tamper Proof" GFI recpt.

At the job I was at there where two reasons not to use a GFCI breaker.

1)The prints did not call for all outlets on GFCIs and if this caused troubles we would own.

2)Costs, a GE THQB (bolt on) breaker is not cheap.

We ended up with standard GFCI outlets with the child proofing things stuck in them.

We already were giving away the GFCI outlets as they where not asked for on the print but many where right at stainless steel sinks where baby's would be having their diapers changed.
