Health Care 517?

Is an acupuncturist's "treatment" rooms considered patient care, thus requiring redundant equipment ground?
This is the first time I've come across this.

the question I would ask is whether acupuncture is considered health care at all.

Talked to inspector. It was one of the subjects brought up at the last IAEI convention. Acupuncture spaces are NOT 517 spaces.

How about if they hook those needles up to a 110V extension cord?
