When a fire pump is fed from a dedicated service, and the service entrance conductors are tapped ahead of the fire pump controller to feed the jockey pump disconnect (controller), are both the fire pump controller and the jockey pump disconnect required to be service entrance rated?

Re: Fire Jockey Pump grounding

My understanding is yes. You have service entrance conductors present in the jockey pump disconnect.

Usually, we power the jockey pump from "Normal" power. It does not need to run during a fire. It just maintains system pressure during normal operations.
