fertilizer storage, Class 1, Div 1?

Would you give a hazardous location classification to a building where fertilizer in bags are werehoused? Reasons? If you have any direct experience or stories, that would be helpful too.

At worst, this is likely to be a Class II, Division 2 location. It is even more likely, with good housekeeping practices, that it would not need to be classified at all. Reference NFPA 499, Section 3-3.1(a).

It is critical to get the MSDS for the product and review the manufacture?s recommendations.
