feeders thru one house to the rear house

230.3 says service conductors supplying a building shall not pass through another structure or building. How about feeders. The front house is a multifamily, meters on the outside and disconnects immediately inside. The discos feed the unit panels, but one of the discos goes through the basement then underground to the rear single family house. Since it has overcurrent protection and is not service conductors is that ok is the question. (the note in the handbook seems to indicate this is acceptable)

I agree that the code will permit this. The second building will require its own disconnect that that building. See 225.31 or somewhere close to that.
