All,

08' NEC 250.148(C) requires a connection from the equipment grounding conductor to a metal enclosure. I have a #1/0 egc being spliced in an enclosure, the electrician has tapped off of this #1/0 ground with a #8 and bonded the #8 to the enclosure. From what I have learned in the past, you always bond to the enclosure with the largest egc that is spliced in the enclosure, and since we only have one egc (#1/0) then that would be the minimum size that can be used.

I am having problems finding the code reference that specifically states this... Or is 250.148(C) the only reference I have?

As always I appreciate your help.
