Hello everyone
I hope if anyone could help me in answering this question:

Is there any problem if the KVA of an emergency generator set for a certain building (factory for example) is equal to or a little bit greater than that of the transformer feeding the same building? (Assume the whole building loads are supplied from the generator set/transformer). Also, when the generator KVA must exceed that of the transformer?

Many thanks

The only thing i'd watch out for are large motors. Starting them can be a trick on a generator, especially if the generator is handling other loads at the time.
