Disconnects and Exit Doors

I have to run a 3 phase 480 volt 250 amp disconnect for some new equipment. The best spot for me to place the disconnect so by an emergency exit door. It would end up being 24" from the door on the same wall. Or I could turn the disconnect 90 degrees and place it on a support pillar and have it over 36" away from the door. Anyone know if there is an OSHA or NEC code for disconnects and door?

Thank you, that is what I thought. There is nothing saying how close to a door a disconnect can be. There just needs to be the appropriate work space.
