If you are going to use cords & cord caps (male/female) to power a load, and say the load is 43A without adjustment for being a motor. You factor in the 125% for the motor and get 53.75A so you would have a 60A OCPD. Do you also have to size the cord caps at 60A or can the caps be 50A?

L15-60? I don't think that's a thing. You mean the straight blade 15-60 right?

How fast do you need? You can get 60A 250v 3ph 3P4W pin and sleeve for $300 a pair ordered online. About double the cost of a pair of 15-60 but will last a heck of alot longer....
