I am trying to find how to hook-up the ends of #2 thhw, #4 thhw and #6 thhw to 20 amp breakers and ground fault receptacles. The best I can come up with is terminals installed in some junction boxes to reduce the wire size up to 10 ft. away. Is there a better way and/or is this OK?

Re: CONNECTING ENDS FROM VOLTAGE DROP

that seems like a long way to run a 20-amp circuit if you need #2 wire to keep the voltage drop to 3%????...but anyway, ILSCO company makes crimp adapters to reduce the connection. don't know if they can go from #2 down to #12?...if not use a butt splice reducer, it may take a junction box to splice a smaller wire to the larger one.

Is this project a marina? I would look into transformers closer to the load.
