We had an irrigation system installed and the pole lamp no longer works so I must assume the line was cut with the trench machine. I asked the electrician who buried the cable back in December, how deep he went and he insisted it was 24 inches, but I doubt it because the trench digger would not go to that depth. Anyway, I need to find the cut and make a repair. Do you know of something I may use that will tell me where the break is so I do not have to dig up the entire suspected area?

If you contact an electrician they can locate the line, give you depth, and make the code approved repairs. We are not allowed to assist with DIY issues
