Chimney and Conduit

can I install electrical conduit on the chimneys on outside walls of houses?

Sure some houses around here have the drop from the pole attached to the chimney.

People used to attach their TV antennas (remember them?) to the chimney.

And when some chimneys crumbled under the antennas, some communities banned antennas on chimneys. Should have insisted on stronger chimneys!

Old brick chimney yes, I don't know I would use the part above the roof for horizontal loading of a service drop though.
