im doing a 3 story apartment building that has a 1200 amp 3 phase 120/208v main service with meter stacks for the whole building all in one electric room on the first floor. is it code to use ser to feed all the apartments on all the floors from the main electric room. the wire will be protected from physical damage being in the walls. there is no plenum ceilings anywhere on this job. the feeders would have to run through the fire rated ceilings on the apartments and through the floors. the question is can you run ser though out this building or does it have to be mc because it passes though multiple floors? this job is done in using the MA amendments
