Ok,You will need multiple molds and loads for each type.
Roger
Thank YouEach type of connection and wire size requires a different mold. Plus a array of handles, and shot size can vary. Molds do wear out. You will want a propane torch to dry out the mold. Get the electric igniter and shots, much safer
Also a handy thing to have around we use sometimes in a pinch is duct seal. Sometimes on a akward size pipe where mold doesn’t fit or seal perfectly we will use it to seal around the edges of the mold to help prevent blow out. Each type of connection and wire size requires a different mold. I would need a catalog to answer....You can do the same.Ok,
I will have a Erico Tech look at drawing for guidance. How many molds Needed. Is their 1 general tool and you can change molds. Or they all complete separate molds entirely.
Is their a cadweld mold that does
Vertical beams , 4/0 to #1, 4/0!to rebar, 4/0 to ground rods?
All around use? Or are they designed for only one type And u need mutiple molds ?
It's not good when the liquid metal runs out of the mold. Also a handy thing to have around we use sometimes in a pinch is duct seal. Sometimes on a akward size pipe where mold doesn’t fit or seal perfectly we will use it to seal around the edges of the mold to help prevent blow out.
Nope that’s why we’ve had to make use of the duct seal in a pinch to make a seal all the way around. It's not good when the liquid metal runs out of the mold.
Electric Railway Improvement Company...anyone know what ERICO stands for?
And that is why a catalog is usefull.Cadweld has universal molds now that use mineral wool to fill the gaps. One or two molds does everything you want. The old molds were a pain.
Yes and the RR companies today use Cadweld for Continuous Welded Rail. It takes a really big shot, when I did ground rods its was usually a 90.
Cadweld makes a one shot mold, its very simple and if you are not doing a lot of shots, it would be the way to go (if if would work for your application)Is their a cadweld mold that does
