A family member ask me to check out a lighting issue on a home they just bought. (Very old).

after a rip and tear search found the issue. Open (old socket fuse/breaker). Reset and check ok.

the wiring is the old knob style.

so the question is. What would be the most easy way to running the lighting circuits and wall circuits in the old horse hair walls with fir lattice backing.

upgrading the service is easy.

but do not want to renovate the entire house just to up grade the electrical system.

any ideas would be grateful.

Could not up load pictures. Not sure how to yet.
