Currently I am overseeing the electrical installation of a new facility for an energy company. We are installing a 4000 HP, 10 pole motor as well as a 1250 HP 2 pole motor. These are the largest loads. The design electrical engineer called for 15kV, MV-105 due to transient voltages and direct buried CLX. I’ve installed & tested many stress cones but have never seen this. I’ve asked the electrical contractor to contact the cable manufacture due to these pictures. Of course the cable is in the ground & we didn’t find it until terminating. 2 conductors look fine but the 3rd has indentions in the Ethylene Propylene Rubber that look like they are from the Continuous Corrugated Welded Aluminum Armor. Been trying to attach pix but the <insert image> doesn't seem to be working for me... Yep, I'm from the generation that was well into my career before PCs were available. Hahaha! Any help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards.
