To better understand MI cable; would you be pulling multiple MI cables or are the conductors in the MI cable all you need?

For example, 3 or 4#250KCMIL is pulled for 250A. Would you be pulling 3 or 4 of the equivalent MI cable or would you get the equivalent MI cable size and just pull one piece.

All of the MI cable that I've ever seen was individual conductors not a multi-conductor cable.

Pentair's Pyrotenax 2-hour fire rated MI cable is available in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 7 conductors standard.

To answer the OP's question, check their literature. Because the "jacket" is metallic, they claim a higher ampacity rating for the same diameters. The example they give in their brochure is 500 kcmil THHN rated at 380 amps, their 500 kcmill product is rated at 620 amps.
