I'm having a hard time determining which part of the Code would apply to a LED lighting application. The system contains a Power unit that converts line voltage down to 47V dc. This unit is installed in a closet or any other convenient location below the ceiling as it is cord and plug (twist lock 20A) connected. (2) 12/2 cables carry the dc voltage to a 12 port switch located above ceiling near the fixtures. Dedicated 16/2 cables bring power to the individual fixtures. The fixtures contain no LED drivers, just the actual solid state LED strips. The driver is in the original power source. What Code section governs the above ceiling installation? Thanks.

I would assume you are correct with article 725. While I haven't dealt with this situation, the manufacturer should have information somewhere that dictates Class 1 class 2 wiring.

we are working with the manufacture on the roll out of the product as certified installers. They have a learning curve ahead of them still. My concern is protecting my license in the process as I will be the one holding the stick at the end.
