Does anyone know where to acquire economical light control circuit (wiring diagram) system with a recommended bill of materials can be found? For projects that cannot afford high-end lighting control panels with ongoing annual maintenance charges where can one go for small scale but sophisticated lighting systems? I realize the use of lighting contactors and relays in a NEMA 1 enclosure can be built from scratch but would like something that looks nice, is compact and easily adjustable in the field and does not cost the customer monthly maintenance fees.

For example, activation of one or two motion detectors to automatically control four individual fluorescent fixtures (each separately located) that are also manually controlled by four separately located single pole (or could be momentary push-button) switches. In addition, have a single override manual switch (on-off toggle or push-button switch) that can turn on and off the four lights, and totally bypass the individual four single pole switches and the two motion detectors. When the override manual switch is turned on all four lights turn on and when turned off all four lights turn off and revert back to the individual manual control of their respective single pole switches and the automatic control of the motion detectors.

Upstream of the all the controls features mentioned above a day-night photo-cell to ensure no lights work during daylight hours. The override manual switch should have a time out feature with an adjustable time from 1 to 60 minutes. (If the override switch is forgotten about the lights will not remain on longer than 60 minutes.) Each of the two motion detectors will be focused on their own area. But if motion is detected by either one or both detectors all lights turn on and all go off after motion is no longer detected for a period of 5 minutes.

If you do not care about dimming (or maybe even if you do) that level of flexible logic sounds ideal for a PLC and actual lighting controllers that accept an LV switch closure or 0-10V analog input.
