The company I work for has put CATII labels on all the electrical enclosures and gave PPE for CATII. I have concerns that some cabinets are rated at a higher Category and someone may get hurt. I have suggest they get an arc flash analysis done but they claim there is no need because of the tables. If this is correct how can this possibly be safest we can be?

First off welcome you will find this a great place to learn.

The tables found in NFPA 70E are only useable if the parameters of the tables apply. the parameters are found in the table itself with additional information in the footnotes.

Now are you sure the labels installed say CatII or is it HRC 2? The reason is one pertains to rating of test equipment and the other is a level of PPE.
