Standard stamped steel boxes in concrete walls

Is it allowable to install standard stamped steel boxes in concrete walls that are in direct contact with the earth? Based on section 300.6(A)(3) I believe it is because the box is zinc coated.

I agree with you, standard steel boxes are permitted in poured concrete. A pretty common installation around here.

done all the time here.... put the ground pigtail in first...
i stuff newspaper in them, and wrap them in duct tape,
and you are off to the races....

as long as the box is encased in concrete, and not in
direct contact with the earth....
