Radon system requirements?

I put a dedicated 15amp duplex in for a radon system. The HO just left me a message said she needs a 20 amp quad. The radon systems I've seen were basically just a fan.

Ask where she got these requirements. The installer said so is not a good answer, unless he can show you some instructions from the mfgr. that says that a 20 amp circuit is needed with a quadplex.

The company that installed my radon system extended off the garage door opener receptacle and installed a switch in the attic as a disconnect for the hardwired fan located in the attic above the garage. I don't know the current draw, but mine has been running since 2006 with no problem.

She said there is something in the paperwork about it and it's her fault and she has no problem paying me to do it again, (it's only 20' from the box). Apparently they have three items plugged in with an adapter, all running fine so what does that tell you. I will look at the specs when I change it and post what they say.

If the specs say its needed you need to do it. Although, if she can show you paperwork saying such I'd do it and not say a word.
Even better if she is willing to pay you for it.
Who installed the system??

Damn, I generally just see a 3R rated fan tech in-line fan installed? lol?. If they are installed inside, they just get a pre made cord installed as the disconnect, if installed outside, they get hard wired to a WP switch enclosure?

I have yet to actually wire a radon fan, but I've seen them wired, and they are never pretty?. so I guess that answers the question as to who wires them.
