I have a commercial garage that is a fire restoration. I have wired all the receptacles above 18" of the floor in accordance with art. 511 with MC cable. The only thing that I have done that I question is this. Have a 200 amp Main lug panel located in the garage (well above the 18" classified area). This panel is recessed in the wall and being fed from a service rated enclosed breaker on the exterior of the building next to the meter. I have fed this panel with 4/0 ALU. SER.....?

I'm second guessing myself because SE cable is not approved for Major commercial garages. The SER cable will be in the wall behind 5/8 sheet rock with none exposed inside the garage. Am I compliant....????:?

Thanks!

If I change it to Rigid Non-metallic conduit (PVC-sch-40) I believe I would be compliant with 511.7(A)1.....? I would of course not use the 4/0 Alu SE but just get some separate XHHW....
