I took the ICS 2B which is a similar test given by NCPCCI (National Certification Program for Construction Code Inspectors). IMO that test was pretty easy. Took about 45 minutes to go through 50 questions and then another 30 to double check every answer. If you're allowed to use a code book I would recommend the spiral bound type since when you open to a page it stays open and is nice and flat. I'm sure that you already have it but this is what is on the E2 test:

If you have taken your E1 and know how to navigate the code book, then you will do fine. Make sure to take only your code book, they won't allow the handbook.

Have taken E1 already. Not very difficult

Somewhat concerned about what type calculations
may be on E2. Maybe types too look at for study
or is it all out of code book

thanks for input
