Agree with the other answers, however, if the specs are that vague, then MC is probably OK. I would just make a point of clearly spelling it out in your proposal. That being either way you go. I.E. "Power and lighting circuiting is proposed utilizing MC installed per the applicable local and national codes." If you are using conduit, spell that out too, so that a GC will ask the other contractor how they are bidding it.
