Help!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to find where in the code it specifically says that the grounded conductor is to be insulated after the main service disconnect. I know I have found it before, but this time it is eluding me.:?

I don't think that you will find a rule that specifically states that. The closest would be 250.24(A)(5).

Also 230.41 indirectly answers this. As far as I know there is no statement that allows a grounded conductor to be uninsulated except for services.

250.118 also permits the egc to be bare but not the grounded conductor. If the grounded conductor was bare how would you keep it isolated from the egc past the service disconnect as stated by Don in 250.24(A)(5)
