How do I run Romex down a block wall in a new house?
How must ther romex be run in the attic in a new house?,

This is my 1st new house to wire here in florida

If the wall is not filled I just cut a hole in the block for a box and drop a jack chain down thru the top. I assume the walls are not being furred out.

You are in Port St Luckie. Stop by and talk to the inspectors. They will tell you what they are looking for. You are in South Florida. It's different from the rest of the nation.

If the block walls are going to be furred out how do I secure romex to block
If furred out more than 1-1/4 inches attach them to furring strips much easier than attaching to block. zip ties with mounting hole works great.

If less than 1-1/2 deep watch out what you use for outlet boxes as shallow ones typically do not have enough volume to even enter with a single 14-2 plus a device. 4 inch square box with mud ring gives you fair amount of volume for most situations, if you have at least 1-1/2 inch of depth.
