I couldnt find the code article but im preety shure its a violation.The guy that im working with ran a kitchen light from the countertop gfi,Im not shure but I thought you could not have any lighting off of the countertop plugs .Also when he ran the bathroom circuit he has two bathrooms on the same circuit bc they are right next to eachother,I thought each bathroom had to be on its own circuit I could be wrong but I was woundering if some one could help me with code articles.

Check out 210.11(C)(1) and 210.52(B) for the small appliance branch circuit requirement. These sections do not permit luminaires to be installed on the small appliance branch circuit.


Check out 210.11(C)(3) for the bathroom receptacle circuit. This requirement permits all the bathroom receptacles in a home to be installed on a single 20 amp circuit. The exception to 210.11(C)(3) permits a single 20 amp circuit to supply all the loads in a single bathroom.

There should be no other loads, like lights on SABC. (small appliance branch circuits).

As for the bathroom both bath GFCI can be on the same circuit. GFCI in first bath then protected

recptacle in second bath.

Or Each bath on its own circuit with GFCI in each bath.

So long as just the bathroom receptacles are on the 20 amp circuit it would be compliant. If you put the bathroom lights on with the receptacle then you would need a separate circuit for each bathroom.
