Is anybody here knows of a good and reliable Diesel generator-set other than Chinese made. I would rather have a USA made.
This is for a Commercial office building being build and no natural gas available and the owner does not want gas service.
I need one somewhere between 7 -to - 10 KW, 7KW minimum run with 17 kw start capacity.
It will be used to run (2) 1 HP storm drain pumps in case of utility power lost. we may beef up to (2) 1 1/2 HP pumps.
I can use either single phase 240/120V or 208/120V 3 phase.
I had no luck with Cummins or Peterson generators. the smallest they make is 13 KW.
The Lister Petter units are good units For what is worth we have received feed back that obtaining parts can be problem.
Please help and thank you in advance for your reply.

With that small of kw, and non-Chinese made, you will probably have to go with a German or UK made one, one of our posters that lives across the big pond would probably know of a manufacture.

Try Fabco Cat:

I've sold them some ATSs over the years and while on assignment in another poss\ition I sold them a rather large transformer for mounting with a generator on a trailer that was used to provide power for an open pit mine.
I have attached some pics of the transformer for last project that i did with them.
Give them a try. But they may not go down to the size that you would like though. It looks like 12kw:
