When I click that link, I get a story about a gas outage in a town. There is nothing about a company. What gives?

Hopefully the worker will survive. Only takes one mistake for something like this to happen.

Usually utility companies preplan and install valves to isolate areas in case of a dig-up. Before gas can be turned back on each house or building must be manually checked for a gas meter and shut off. Then each house manually lit back up. You're talking a lot of personel and paper work for this.

Sorry if I bothered you Charlie. I stated that it happened at my company. Most people here now I am not inspecting. I am building roads and installing roadway lighting and traffic signals. I didn't think It needed a lot of explination. It was pretty obvious if you read the artical that roadway machinery hit a gas line in SW Florida. The whole idea was to remind anyone digging in the ground to be very carefull and work saftly. The operator is in the hospital in crtitical condition. It was not a "Hey, look at this posting. You need to lighten up!

Simmer down. Charlie was supposed to close the thread, given the lack of narrative, and he chose instead to leave it open and give you a chance to fill in the gaps.
Further, my life is an open book, but I don't presume that everybody knows what I am doing if I am going to start a thread. Give some back story, we aren't all stalkers that write every detail about everybody else down for future reference.
